In March of this year, police members from all over the country who had been accepted to study towards their BA Police Science degree (BAPS) funded by the SAPS, arrived in Graaff-Reinet to continue with the programme towards achieving their degrees. They undertook a project which was recently reported on in the Graaff-Reinet Advertiser. The project was aimed at collecting and then donating school shoes to learners from two schools the Graaff-Reinet area.
