CRADOCK NEWS - At the Fanie Theron Pre-primary school in Cradock, last week was magical. The little ones had three consecutive days where their creativity was stretched and their imaginations could run amok dressing up according to certain themes.
It started recently, when learners could represent their favourite fairy tale, and they certainly did.
The children stepped straight out of the pages of their favourite fairy tales.
From brave knights and magical fairies to clever princesses and adventurous heroes, the school was alive with imagination and wonder.
It was a joy to see learners' creativity shine as they brought their favourite characters to life.
Opposite Day
On Thursday 8 May, the pupils and staff could dress up for Opposite Day at school.
Learners turned tradition upside down with their opposite outfits.
There were mismatched shoes, boys in dresses and girls in ties; creativity was in full swing as everyone embraced the fun of seeing the world from a different perspective.
"It was more than just a laugh," say the facilitators, "it was a day to celebrate confidence, expression, and a touch of silliness that brought everyone closer together."
The grand finale
Friday 9 May was ABC Dress-up Day, where the learners had to choose an outfit to match the first letter of their names.
They had an amazing time getting creative for their "First Letter Dress-Up Day". And what a brilliant surprise it was to see each child's creativity in choosing their outfits!
The results were adorable, clever, and full of personality.
From astronauts to ballerinas, ninjas to nurses, and pirates to pineapples, they were all there.
According to everybody at Fanie Theron, this was a fantastic way to build school spirit.
Of course, nothing would be possible without the total involvement of parents, and the school extended a big thank you to all the parents for helping bring these magical days to life.
