NATIONAL NEWS - The Presidency has emphasised that President Jacob Zuma has no intention of buying or owning any property outside of the country.
The Sunday Times reported on Sunday that the Gupta brothers bought a 10 bedroom mansion in Dubai a property that the president calls his second home.
It says this was contained in a letter outlining Zuma’s plans to relocate.
The paper also reported that Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe had once also owned property close by in the same luxury estate.
However, his spokesperson has denied this, saying that Mugabe never owned that property and was only renting it for his son.
The paper reported that the R330 million mansion was bought for the president in the same year that Zuma’s son, Duduzane, bought his luxury apartment nearby.
