NATIONAL NEWS - The African National Congress (ANC) says it’s still studying the contents of Advocate Thuli Madonsela’s State of capture report and will issue a statement later today.
The former Public Protectors report was released yesterday and has confirmed President Jacob Zuma’s corrupt relationship with the Gupta family.
It also includes damning details on the relationship between Eskom CEO Brian Molefe and the controversial family.
The ANC says it will decisively deal with the findings of the report and hopes to deal with any allegations that undermine the party.
The party’s spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says: “We must do so in order to restore our people’s confidence in the democratic state. We must do so in order to protect the institutions of state. We must do so in order to protect and defend the African National Congress as a party.”
