GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Nine convictions were secured in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate’s Court last week, all resulting from either drug- or property-related crimes.
There were 40 arrests made by the Graaff-Reinet police, including one for rape, and five arrests in Aberdeen.
In three separate incidents of stock theft, a total of 16 sheep were stolen in Aberdeen and Nieu Bethesda.
There were two cases of theft out of motor vehicle in Aberdeen, and a further two in Graaff-Reinet. A trailer was also stolen in Nieu Bethesda.
Other Graaff-Reinet cases were two residential burglaries, two robberies, one of reckless and negligent driving, and one of fraud.
