SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - The annual SA Longboard Surfing Championships, the biggest single surfing contest in the country, took place in Mossel Bay with more than 200 surfers, including current world and SA champions, participated.
Competing was judged by seven world class judges and four judges per heat adjudicated difficulty of the manoeuvres and overall surfing.
Michelle Verreynne achieved an impressive 2nd overall position in a tightly contested u.18 final. She was also 7th in SA in the Open Woman Division.
Steven Hair from Wilderness won the Veterans Division. Eden finished 3rd overall after after WP and EP with KZN in 4th position.
