ADENDORP NEWS - Adendorp Primary School recently welcomed Kaizer Cata as its new principal, a transition marked by a sense of anticipation and optimism within the school community.
The school governing body formally introduced Cata on 14 February as he stepped into his role with eagerness and determination. Taking over from the esteemed Noluthando Jack, who retired after eight years of dedicated service, Cata expressed gratitude for the warm reception and acknowledged Jack's contributions to the school's progress.
The SGB, along with students and staff, thanked Jack for her hard work and commitment during her tenure. Situated in the small, close-knit community of Adendorp, the school operates with a multi-grade class system, supported by a small team of four teachers. While Afrikaans serves as the primary medium of instruction for Grades one through three, English takes precedence from Grades four to seven. Impressed by the school's tidy facilities, Cata noted the challenge of limited space in classrooms that accommode two classes each.
However, he remains optimistic about the school's potential for growth and improvement. Plans are already underway for educational outings, including a visit to the nearby Valley of Desolation.
Cata shared his appreciation for the opportunity to lead Adendorp Primary. With previous experience as principal at Hobson Khanyisa in Klipplaat and 15 years of teaching at Thembalesizwe Primary School, he brings a wealth of experience and commitment to educational excellence. He emphasised collaboration and commu-nity involvement in driving the school forward. "I am honoured to serve as the principal of Adendorp Primary. Together with the SGB and the entire school community, we will work towards achieving our shared goals," he remarked.
As Adendorp Primary enters a new chapter under Cata's leadership, there is a sense of optimism and enthusiasm for the future.
