GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The relocation of Dr Beyers Naudé Municipality staff members is one of the matters that need to be finalised as a matter of urgency.
Mayor Deon de Vos acknowledged that the huge staff component is putting a strain on the municipality's available resources.
On Wednesday 9 October, De Vos spoke about the issue and made it clear that some of the directorates are under strain with too little manpower, while others have employees who are redundant.

Understaffed departments include Law Enforcement, Protection Services and Waste Management.
"Placement is currently being dealt with and placement letters have been issued to staff.
"The placement committee submitted their recommendations to the Accounting Officer [Dr Eddie Rankwana]."
De Vos gave the assurance that a committee is in place to deal with objections received.
