ABERDEEN NEWS — An inquest case docket has been opened in Aberdeen after the body of 74-year-old Klaas Jacobs was found in the back room of a house in Porter Street early on Sunday morning.
The family living in the main house suspect that the elderly man came during the night as usual, and decided not to go into the main house at all, but just went to sleep in the back room in question.
Smoke was seen by security officers working at the nearby court building, and they informed the police.
When they arrived, Jacobs was already dead. It is thought that he had died between 05:00 and 06:00 that morning.
No foul play is suspected.
The matter is still under investigation and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of his death.
