GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The cold front over the weekend brought some much-welcomed rain to Graaff-Reinet, with 1mm of rain measured in town on Saturday. 

According to Edwardine Abader, acting spokesperson for the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality, the Nqweba Dam’s lever was measured this morning (13 July), and currently stands at 18,44%.

Windy days over the weekend saw the dam resemble the sea: waves and all. Along with other Karoo towns, Graaff-Reinet will experience more wind today, with wind also forecasted for tomorrow, 14 July.
