NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS — Following the rain that fell last week over the Nieu-Bethesda valley, the Gats River ran again, bringing delight to all who witnessed this life-giving force!
Decent amounts of rain fell over the catchment areas to the North of the village, and the following morning the long-awaited sound of the river flowing could be heard throughout the village.
The water furrows are once again full and the fodder crops are lush and green and ready for harvesting.
It is beautiful looking over a Karooscape that is no longer harshly brown but flushed with glorious green.
