GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The SA Police Academy in Graaff-Reinet this week hosted a farewell function in honour of Col HD Swartbooi who is retiring after 39 years in service to the South African Police Service.
The event, held in the Graaff-Reinet Town Hall, was attended by many, with friends, family and colleagues gathering to bid Col Swartbooi - who had been serving as the Commander of this training institution - farewell.
Among those present was Colonel Ratsela Tala, who is taking over the sword of command as the new Commander of the SA Police Academy.
During the event, several of the institution's staff members were also awarded with service excellence awards - this was done by the institution to show their appreciation for a job well done.
