NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS — ‘Dustcovers’ bookshop in Nieu-Bethesda recently hosted a book launch of Anne Emslie’s book “The Owl House” and an inspired evening was had by all.
It was intended that the book be launched at ‘The Book Lounge’ in Cape Town prior to this event, but international shipping was delayed and the launch was cancelled.
The book still hadn’t left the docks on the day of the Bethesda launch but villager Shawn Graaff managed to wrangle them from authorities and drove speedily to Bethesda.
In perfect synchronicity, as artist Cleone Cull and Anne Emslie discussed aspects of the book, the precious cargo arrived and it could be viewed and purchased, quite aptly in the hometown of The Owl House!
‘The Owl House’ is a beautiful coffee table book and a must-have for those who have an interest in this important part of our heritage. The book is available from ‘Dustcovers’ bookshop, Hudson Street, Nieu-Bethesda.
