KAROO NEWS - An 8-year-old boy has been missing from the Cradock area since 17 September.
According to Cradock Police Capt, Lariane Jonker, Grade 2 learner Sanjay Borman did not return home from Michausdal Primary School last week Thursday.
At around 19:00, the boy’s grandfather, Antonie Williams, reported Sanjay as missing.
"The K9 Unit and divers started searching the Great Fish River on 20 September," Jonker told Graaff-Reinet Advertiser. Detectives are also investigating the case and are on standby.
A statement released by Sanjay’s school principal, Felicity Meyer, asked the community to please assist the police if they have any information surrounding the boy’s disappearance.

Aberdeen girl still missing
There are still no new developments in the missing case of Anette ‘Kleintjie’ Mintoor (6), who was reported missing on 29 July. Kleintjie lived on an Aberdeen farm with her parents, farmworkers Abraham and Felicity Reiners.
It was reported at the time of her disappearance that Kleintjie left home on 27 July to watch a group of workers shave sheep on a different farm. She was last seen on 28 July at around 18:00, when she allegedly ventured home alone on a gravel road.
"The investigation continues and the detectives are following all information,"
Capt Bradley Rawlinson, Spokesperson for Graaff-Reinet Police, told the Advertiser on 21 September. Anyone with information surrounding Kleintjie’s disappearance or whereabouts is urged to contact their nearest police station.
