GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Wessel Landman and his PSG team in Graaff-Reinet recently relocated from Bourke Street to new premises at 68 Somerset Street.
They celebrated the move on Thursday 31 October with a cocktail party in the lovely gardens of the old Cape Dutch style building they now call home.
Wessel, principal of PSG Graaff-Reinet, says the growth in the insurance and wealth management business has been exponential over the past three years and this necessitated larger office space and expanding their team capacity and skill.
"What was a shot in the dark, turned out to be bulls eye and a dream come true for the PSG Insure team, " he says.
"In the last three years, the Insure practice has seen a growth of more than 60% by implementing better systems and by creating more capacity within the office. The staff contingent has also grown by 100%.
"This, coupled with our Annual Karoo Business Conference, naturally led to more client engagements. This has created the need to expand our office space and also the potential to offer the full financial services package which PSG is renowned for, to our Insure clients."
Wessel is excited to welcome Ampie Jordaan, former financial director at Montego Pet Nutrition, to his team.
Ampie is a chartered accountant who started his career at KPMG Johannesburg followed by a stint in the financial services industry in London. On his return from the UK in 2011, Ampie and the Van Jaarsveld family, the founders of Montego, crossed paths in Graaff-Reinet.
What followed were twelve fruitful years at Montego, leading and later supporting the financial function. At the end of last year, he pursued his lifelong dream to work more closely with clients.
"My passion for people and financial planning led to a conversation with Wessel and a position as wealth adviser transpired. I am immensely grateful to God for paving the way and preparing me for this wonderful opportunity at a household name like PSG in the Karoo," he says.
Ampie's role covers all aspects of financial planning and wealth management.
Ampie Jordaan has a wealth of experience and joined PSG Wealth Graaff-Reinet in April 2024.
Clients can contact Ampie Jordaan for any of the following financial services:
- Retirement planning (tax considerations, annuity alternatives at retirement)
- Wealth creation and preservation – investments in accordance with the PSG investment philosophy tailored for each client's profile
- Unforeseen circumstances – life, disability and critical illness cover
"The 68 Somerset Street branch is set for a new era in financial service and we thank all our clients for your continued support that has made our growth and move possible. We are looking forward to the next phase together," says Wessel.
