Inspection of the 2nd supplementary Valuation Rolls 2024-2029

KAROO NEWS - Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49 (1) (a) (1) together with Section 78 (2) of Local Government Municipal Property Rates Act 2004 (Act No 6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the “Act”, that the 2nd Supplementary Valuation Roll for the Financial Years, 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2029 is open for Inspection at the Municipal Offices at following addresses:

An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49 (1) (a) (iii) read together with Section 78 (2) of the Act that an owner of the property or other person who so desires, should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of the matter reflected in or omitted from the Supplementary Valuation Roll within (30 days) with in the below mentioned period.

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50 (2) of the act and objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Supplementary Valuation Roll as such.

The form for the lodging of an objection is obtainable from the Municipal Offices listed in the advert above during office hours, as well as from the Municipal website .

The Supplementary Valuation roll can be viewed/inspected during office hours from 12 June 2026 to 12 July 2026 at the above-mentioned Municipal Offices.

The completed original form must be hand delivered to the addresses as listed in the advert, in each town during office hours 08:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday. No emails or faxed copies will be accepted, and no late objections will be accepted after the closing date.
