Update
HOFMEYR NEWS - Community leader and Facilitator at Twinsville Primary School in Hofmeyr, Delia Du Pont-Faniso, reports that all the youths who were hospitalized after the Tavern Tragedy, were released from hospital today.
No further casualties were reported.
These youths are not suffering any serious consequences after inhaling the chemical that was alledgedly sprayed over attendants in the Razzmatazz Tavern in Hofmeyr, where 3 girls aged 15, 17 and 25 passed away on Christmas day during the 15th birthday celebrations of Cwenga Qashani.
Ambulances transported 20 patients to the Provincial hospital in Cradock, 60 km from Hofmeyr, whilst 20 patients were transported to Steynsburg hospital, 40 km from Hofmeyr.
A total of 3 serious cases were transferred to hospitals in Gqeberha for treatment.
