GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Welverdiend Home for the elderly in Jansenville is celebrating Christmas quite differently.
They are dressing up the fence, and not with Christmas trimmings, but with good quality clothes.
"We are blessed in abundance, and we are now blessing our community. Come pick something from our fence, for yourself, or for someone dear and near.
"We don't know who collects, but when the sun sets, our fence is empty and we know our clothes have found a home where they will have a second chance to bring happiness," says Leoné Mulder, manager of Welverdiend Home.
The home shop in Welverdiend Home also sells clothes. Once every three months new items are packed out and the remainder of the clothes are donated.
