GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Traffic is backed up in both directions after a truck overturned on the N9 between Graaff-Reinet and Aberdeen, about 25km from Aberdeen.
The truck is lying right across the road. Cars and small delivery vehicles are able to pass one the side of the road, but there is a high risk of further accidents, and motorists are asked to proceed with extreme caution. Traffic police are on the scene.
The accident happened at about 04:20 this morning, and was reported by driver Tinashe Dhiwand, who was fortunately uninjured. He was driving the furniture removal truck from Johannesburg to George, and lost control of the vehicle. No other vehicle was involved.
It is uncertain when the vehicle will be able to be moved.
The necessary equipment and breakdown service will be coming from Beaufort West
