ABERDEEN NEWS - The Aberdeen SAPS recently hosted an awareness campaign about second-hand and stolen goods in their town.
According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson for the policing district, Aberdeen SAPS members visited shops to distribute flyers on 23 October.
"Compliance inspections were conducted at businesses that purchase, sell or possess second-hand goods," Rawlinson said at the time.
Community members and shop owners were reminded that, by purchasing, selling or possessing stolen goods, they are committing a crime.
Community members are urged to inform the authorities if they are aware of illegal activities by contacting the local police station on 049 846 0015 or by calling the toll-free Crime Stop number: 086 0010111.
