Update
KAROO NEWS - The traffic officer that was involved in an accident on the R75 outside Jansenville this afternoon (3 April), was declared dead on the scene.
The officer was a member of the Port Elizabeth Provincial Traffic Services.
According to Police Spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, emergency services confirmed the officer's death upon their arrival on the scene.
The officer's name is withheld, as family members have not yet been notified.
The officer allegedly lost control over the vehicle, whereafter it overturned and landed on its roof.
The accident happened 20km from Jansenville, en-route to Graaff-Reinet.
