UPDATE @ 18:13 - TRAFFIC OFFICER DIES AFTER ACCIDENT

KAROO NEWS - Emergency services are on an accident scene 20km from Jansenville, where a traffic control vehicle overturned on the R75.

The accident occurred at about 3pm this afternoon (3 April).

According to Police Spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, the car, with only the driver inside, left the road on its way to Graaff-Reinet and overturned.

Rawlinson confirmed that the traffic official is injured, but the extent of his injuries is still unknown.

It is unclear at this stage if the traffic official is based in Jansenville or Graaff-Reinet.
