KAROO NEWS AND VIDEO - A large group of mainly women, from the communities of Cradock, Hillside, Lingelihle, and Michausdal, marched to the Magistrate's Office building in Adderley Street, Cradock today.
The protesters gathered as the 40-year-old male suspect in the murder of the 38-year-old Ncediwe Manqina appeared in court.
The case was postponed to 11 December and the suspect will not be able to apply for bail.
Before the group dispersed, they agreed that they will also stand up against gender-based violence when the suspect in yet another male-on-female murder, where Marilyn Maarman was the victim, appears in court this coming Thursday, 19 October.
