ABERDEEN NEWS - This Thursday and Friday evening, December 14 and 15, Paul Heidler, a guitar virtuoso, will be playing at the new restaurant in Aberdeen, GEORG.
Heidler was born in Vienna in 1954 and began playing the guitar at 15.
He moved to South Africa in 1973 and studied classical guitar with Fritz and David Hewitt. He achieved his grades in Music Theory and Performance with UNISA, studied internationally with Pepe Romero and Eliot Fisk, and completed a course at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Heidler travels internationally, performing at guitar festivals in Germany and studying with the great guitar performers of our day, including David Russell, Manuel Barrueco and The Assad brothers.
Heidler’s repertoire includes classical, Latin American, and popular contemporary music such as ragtime, jazz and blues.
Guests at GEORG this Thursday and Friday will be able to enjoy his music between 19:00 and 21:00.
