GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality (DBNLM) is in a spot of bother.
Their municipal accounts are not delivered on time which is a cause great of concern for residents, especially those who do pay their accounts on time.
But the DBNLM is at the mercy of the South African Post Office (SAPO) to distribute accounts. SAPO faces difficulties and limitations, resulting in delayed delivery of accounts or statements.
The DBNLM has issued a statement saying "they acknowledge that municipal accounts are not delivered timely" due to inability of the SAPO to fulfil its mandate.
They said consumers can collect duplicate municipal accounts at all finance offices and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
