ABERDEEN NEWS - After publicising the problem of illegal dumping in Parliament Street in the Graaff-Reinet Advertiser recently, residents are delighted to report that the municipality has started clearing up the area.
The residents are very grateful to the Graaff-Reinet Advertiser for highlighting the problem, and to the municipality for responding at last.
According to an official at the municipality, there is, however, a problem in that it looks as though someone has attempted to pile the rubbish up, and in the process, garden waste has become mixed up with the household rubbish.
The municipal tractor crew will attempt to remove all of the household waste, particularly the offensive used nappies and other items which pose a health risk.
