GRAAFF-REINET | WILLOWMORE NEWS — Family and friends of the late Sean Kroon, who was tragically killed at the beginning of April, gathered together in Willowmore on June 9 on what would have been his 19th birthday.
Kroon had a passion for trees, and so at his memorial service in April, those attending were asked to bring a young tree in his memory. A total of 45 trees were planted in Lovemore Park and at the sports fields on his birthday, and as his mother Joanne posted on Facebook, she believes that “Sean had a great big smile and a good laugh at all of us sweating it out!”
They were blessed to be given a themed birthday cake in the shape of a tree, with one candle, which was enjoyed afterwards with a glass of champagne.
The family are very grateful to those special friends who shared the day with them.
