GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Advertiser has just learnt that 22 people were injured in the collision on the N9 between Graaff-Reinet and Aberdeen that happened at about 04:35 this morning.
A woman in her thirties died and five people were critically injured when a VW Polo crashed into the back of a Quantum minibus.
We have been informed that the driver of the Polo is being treated under police guard in the Midlands hospital as he is suspected to have been under the influence at the time of the crash.
One person was airlifted to Port Elizabeth while some of the other serious cases were transported to PE by ambulance.
The person who was airlifted is a young woman, not a boy as earlier reported.
