GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The death toll on roads surrounding Graaff-Reinet rose to 21. This follows two more accidents on roads between Middelburg and Cradock, as well as Graaff-Reinet and Cradock.
On Monday 16 December 11 people died on the busy roads between Graaff-Reinet, Cradock, Aberdeen and Beaufort-West.
On Wednesday morning 18 December just past midnight a head-on collision between an interlink truck and an SUV vehicle claimed the lives of all six people in the SUV vehicle, between Middelburg and Cradock.
The same morning at approximately 11am a taxi overturned between Graaff-Reinet and Cradock. Four passengers died in the accident.
The other deaths were recorded when two people died on 16 December between Aberdeen and Graaff-Reinet, as they crossed the road and were hit by an oncoming taxi.
Only four hours later one passenger in a taxi, transporting 24 passengers, died when the vehicle overturned 40km from Aberdeen on the R61.
The other accidents were two head-on collisions where four people died in each accident.
