GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Its the start of a new swimming season and the Graaff-Reinet Swimming Club has invited one of South Africa’s top coaches, Dave Glover, to Graaff-Reinet for a swimming workshop.
This is an opportunity not to be missed!
On Saturday and Sunday, November 4 and 5, Glover, the head coach of the Infinity Swimming Club, will be holding a swimming workshop in the Volkskool heated pool in Graaff-Reinet.
Glover has a passion for swimming and represented South Africa in the sport. He went to Perth in 1994 for the Junior Pan Pacific Schools Games and won the Junior Victor Ludorum at SA Primary Schools.
His best placing at Senior Nationals was 10th place and he still swims competitively.
Last year Glover was chosen to represent South Africa as a coach and he coached the South African team to Angola. His Club is the top club in the Eastern Cape and is expected to repeat that achievement this year. His swimmers have gone on to represent both Eastern Province as well as South Africa.
The sessions start at 10:30 on Saturday and parents are invited to attend the second session on Saturday, at 13:30, to see how Glover works with the swimmers.
All swimmers are welcome, whatever level you are currently at. Masters swimmers are also welcome as Glover has a Masters swimming group as well, for those that want to improve their triathlon skills.
