The Junior Boks made a statement in Durbanville last Friday, dismantling France 43-21 to claim the Medhi Narjissi Trophy.
A dominant forward pack laid the foundation with a powerful scrum, giving the backline the freedom to unleash wave after wave of incisive attacks.
The result was a commanding 31-0 lead at half-time, leaving the French chasing shadows.
Earlier in the day, Ireland edged the SA U18 A side 36-33 thanks to a last-minute penalty, while Georgia caused a stir by defeating England 35-31 in a high-tempo clash.
Tomorrow’s Wellington fixtures promise another feast of schoolboy rugby.
The SA U18 A team will kick off proceedings against Georgia at 11:30, followed by the main showdown between South Africa and Ireland at 13:30. England and France will close the day’s action at 15:30.
All three matches will be broadcast live on the SuperSchools channels.
The final round of the series will be staged at Paarl Gymnasium on Saturday 16 August, with the following fixtures:
- 11:30: France vs SA U18 A
- 13:30: Ireland vs Georgia
- 15:30: SA U18 vs England
With momentum on their side and depth across the squad, the SA U18s will be eager to keep the winning habit going when they line up against the Irish tomorrow.
