RUGBY NEWS - Last Saturday afternoon, Central 1st rugby team took on Suburban from Gqeberha and scored a vital 21 - 15 victory.
Central scored three converted tries, while the Suburban side replied with a goal, a try and a penalty.
Missing from the Central team was the "16 voete" chant used to decimate the opposition pack. Let's hope that the chant will return when Central face Aberdeen on 20 May on the Botanics grounds in Graaff-Reinet.
Central is one of 32 teams playing in the EP Grand Challenge Super League and heads Group B at present.
The latest log after the weekend's games.
Central had to defend, defend, defend. At this stage they were leading 14 - 10.
