Sorita Niemand (parkrun director) thanked the volunteers who always ensure a safe and successful event. She also encourage all to come out on a Saturday morning at 07:00 and enjoy the parkrun.
Do not think because it is called parkrun that you have to run or would be too slow. The fun is that it provides the opportunity for those fast-paced people to push the limit and chase a good time and for the people who want to walk and enjoy the scenery to also participate and get in a good exercise at their own pace.
No-one is too slow to participate in the parkrun, and the last person in is the tail-walker who even volunteers to be last!
"Please make sure to visit the parkrun website and register. It serves the purpose of tracking your progress and there are milestones which get acknowledged for 25, 50, 100 and more parkruns," said Sorita Niemand.
