GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, will see local bowlers head to Cradock to participate in the Midlands Pairs competition.
Social bowls will be played on Saturday, July 29, at the Graaff-Reinet Bowls Club.
• The annual Interschools competition will be held on Wednesday evening, August 2, starting at 5.30pm. Supporters of Union and Volkskool are invited to attend the event.
This will be a fun-filled event where past pupils of Volkskool and Union battle it out to win the trophy.
If you are interested in playing, contact Priscilla Kasperski at 076 011 7784. Entry costs R50 per player. Fee includes a hamburger.
• On Saturday, August 5, the Graaff-Reinet Bowls Club will host its monthly Spar Handicap Pairs competition.
• On Wednesday, August 9, the Club Trips will be contested. As this is a 1-day competition, only four teams can enter. At this stage, the Club needs one more Men's Trips' team to enter.
• The weekend of August 11 and 12 will see social bowls being played at the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club. The Midland Masters will be held in Middelburg this weekend.
