SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - A Laser-Run fun event will be presented at Curro Mossel Bay on Saturday
2 September for keen athlete interested to learn more about this sport. Laser-Run combines running and shooting in fast-paced and dynamic races, including four rounds of laser pistol shooting and four times 800m running.
No experience is needed and athletes can choose between the Elite or Open division. The organisers would like to introduce Laser-Run to any keen runner between the ages of 7 and 60+ and would like to invite all runners, pentathletes, shooters, athletes from any other sporting code as well as school learners to take part.
The school with the most entrants stand to win a R1 000 cash prize, sponsored by FitGen. The first 100 entrants will each receive a goody bag. Registration on Sunday 2 September is between 10:00 and 11:30 and the competition starts at 12:00. The entry fee is R50. 28 August. The dress code is running shoes, shorts and a T-shirt or running vest. This fun event is hosted by the South African Modern Pentathlon Association (Sampa) and the Eden Modern Pentathlon Association.
