KAROO SPORT NEWS - On Saturday afternoon, 1 July, the first team of Central put in a huge performance to record a three-point win over the log-leaders Gardens, from Uitenhage.
After five minutes, Gardens were 7 - 0 in front, before Central steadied the ship and went into half-time 14 - 7 ahead.
Gardens drew level with a converted try midway through the second half. Central scored an unconverted try to go five points in front again. However, Gardens responded similarly five minutes later.
With time ticking away, the result was decided on penalties, with Central hanging on for a 25 - 22 victory.
