GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Over the weekend of 14 to 16 June 2024, five members of the Graaff-Reinet Squash Club traveled to East London and participated in the Beacon Bay 100s Doubles Squash Tournament.
This annual competition requires that the combined age of a doubles team must exceed a 100 years.
Each team played 10 games during the weekend. After the 1st five games, Toni Botha and Le Clue Basson were unbeaten and progressed to the B section (Court 5) where they achieved third place after the next five games played.
Danie Jackson and Louise van Rooyen were also unbeaten (Court 1) and progressed to Court 2 where they achieved second place. This section was won by Juanita Slabbert and her teammate Russell Krug from Beacon Bay Squash Club (East London).
