GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — A new and exciting addition has been organised for Graaff-Reinet during the annual Karoolus Festival weekend.

The Koedoeskloof MTB Challenge promises participants an exciting and physical challenge, breath taking views and of course the chance to win prizes to the value of R5000.

Entry forms are already available online at www.hvsgrt.org.za/mtb.

The event, which takes place on Saturday, September 30, is being organised by Hoër Volkskool in Graaff-Reinet and will be just one of the many exciting events included in the weekend's festival line-up.

Those wishing to participate in the race have a choice between the 80km route and a 40km route. Bikers will enjoy panoramic views and big climbs on the 80km route (R400 entry fee) and those attempting the 40km route (R250 entry fee) can enjoy the same striking views of the Karoo without the big climbs.

Participants can be accommodated in the local school hostels at a cost of R450 which includes a Friday night braai, a full breakfast on Saturday morning and entry into the Karoolus Festival.
