GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Graaff-Reinet will be bursting at the seams from Thursday 17 March until Saturday 19 March when the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club will host the 26th Proudfoot Tournament.
This hugely popular tournament usually attracts golfers from all over South Africa. It will be a cash injection of note for the struggling local economy with guesthouses and restaurants fully booked for the 3-day event.
With sponsors like Riverside Engen, Octofin, Nommerpas and Spar the winners stand to win great golf prizes.
The competition will be an individual Stableford format over three days.
There will be daily prizes at the prizegiving every evening for the top five players and extra prizes for cumulative scores.
After each prizegiving, dinner and entertainment will follow.
The entry fee for one day is R500, for two days R1 000 and three days R1 400.
