CRADOCK NEWS - The AGS Betesda church brought together a community of golf enthusiasts for their annual golf tournament at Cradock Golf Club on Saturday 27 January.
Amidst the scorching heat and a refreshing shower of rain, participants were met with a challenging yet rewarding golfing experience.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and camaraderie as players and non-players alike enjoyed a day of thrilling golf.
The standout duo of PW Michau and Johan de Jager emerged as the day's champions, each securing two nights' self-catering accommodation at Sanctuary's luxurious tented lodging.
Wim Botha (Cradock Golf Club President) and Stoney Steenkamp claimed the second prize, winning a warthog each, generously sponsored by Louis Du Preez.
The Pro Shop contributed to the excitement with sponsored prizes for various achievements, including nearest-to-the-pin awards for Jacques van Nieuwenhuizen, Bull Jordaan, WB Brink, and John Walker.

The 'water prize', sponsored by LockeRoom, went to Niel de Jager for donating the most golf balls to the water canal.
The putting competition, sponsored by Karoo Brokers, saw Jacques van Nieuwenhuizen emerge victorious after an impressive 36-hole day. Dirkie Hoffman clinched the general putting competition, while Ellinke van der Mescht secured the runner-up position.
Jaco Marais walked away as the lucky winner of Jeep sunglasses, sponsored by Bergman/Adam.
The AGS Betesda Church extends its gratitude to the numerous sponsors who made the event possible. Steven Mullineux, FC Cloete, Louis du Preez, and many others played a crucial role in contributing to the success of this year's golf tournament.
