GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — This past Saturday, June 3, the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club hosted their monthly Medal competition.
Golfers teed off just before noon with Clive Ludick beating the rest of the field with his score of 66 Net.
Tim Hobson came in second on a count-out also on 66 Net, with André Olivier coming in third with his score of 71 Net.
In a Kirber Cup match played this past week, Dennis Hendriks and Rowan George faced off against Wally Elliot-Gentry and Frikkie Coetzee.
Hendriks and George claimed the victory.
The weekly Wednesday IPS competition, played on May 31, saw Jaco Venter come out tops with a score of 37 points.
The Friday Sundowner contested on June 2 was won by Eddie Nel with 19 points.
Kroonvale Primary School Golf Day
This Saturday, June 10, a very popular golfing day on the local Club's calendar, the Kroonvale Primary School Golf Day, will be contested on the greens.
The day's play will consist of a Betterball Scramble Drive - a light meal will also be served.
As always, great prizes are at stake, and golfers are encouraged to enter as soon as possible to secure their spot.
Those wishing to enter must do so with a partner at the Club. Tee-off will commence at 11.30 am.
