GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality Local Football Association League played matches on 19 November at Graaff Reinet Primary School's grounds. Stream B saw Sun-Rise FC lose 1-4 to Brazilian FC from Aberdeen, while at uMasizakhe Stadium, AmaMpondo defeated JV Manchester United of Jansenville with a score of 4-0.
Thobile Maarman from Jansenville helped officiate the game between Brazilian FC of Aberdeen and Sun-Rise of Riemvasmaak.
Thembela Futshane, league coordinator of the league, said that they still require more match officials. "New players are struggling with understanding football rules, leading to players themselves acting as referees and coaches during the games.
"There are still issues with some fields not being properly maintained, lacking cleanliness, and having unclear boundary lines without proper goal nets.
"Clubs are also facing challenges in managing player skills, organising administrative tasks, and struggling to find fundraising opportunities," Futshane said.
