FOOTBALL NEWS - The Nelson Mandela University (NMU) Madibaz Football Club is entering the Safa Eden Regional Men's League for the first time in their history.
They qualified for the regional league after defeating Young Pirates 3-1 in their last game of the Regional Local Football Association play-offs. The game was played on Sunday afternoon, 3 September at Extension 23 in Mossel Bay.
The students can be extremely proud of their achievements and brilliant performance throughout the whole 2022/22 season.
They claimed their spot in the Regional Men's League after playing five LFA play-off fixtures with three victories, one draw and only one defeat, leaving them sitting on top of the LFA Playoffs log table with 10 points.
Madibaz Football Club joins Thembu Royals from Mossel Bay in being promoted to the regional league for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
