FOOTBALL NEWS - Jose Mourinho FC of uMasizakhe emerged as the overall winners of the Junior League Championships played last weekend at uMasizakhe Stadium. The DBNLM Local Football Association held the championships for the fourth time since 2021.
Jose Mourinho took first position in the u.15 and u.11 age groups and Dangerous Darkies came first in the u.13 group.
Eleven junior clubs took part and enjoyed the football championship from Friday until late Saturday afternoon.
"Everything went as planned and everyone was happy with the programme. Next season we are planning to do it even better for everyone in the communities of Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality," said the junior league coordinator, Khwezi Xalisa.
The junior league will start again in January.
