GRAAFF-REINET SPORTS NEWS - The Eleven Attackers development soccer team was victorious the past weekend against Kroonvale Legends in which they prevailed with four goals to three.
This result bodes well for the Eleven Attackers if one considers that the same team had been beaten 2-0 in a game prior by the Future Stars Football Club senior team.
The soccer league season should have started long ago already, but the relevant organisations have been struggling to call for the annual general meeting for the past two months.
A huge problem also is that club members do not attend meetings, or club members do not get the information regarding notices through their coaches or managers.
The Local Football Association (LFA) under the auspices of SAFA and the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipal LFA, are very concerned about football not being played according to SAFA rules.
The LFA emphasised that the aim and vision of the association are to promote, advance, encourage and drive the South African Football Association (SAFA) vision to assist and protect the interest of the game. Furthermore, LFA also aims to promote and encourage the formation and development of clubs and other associations.
"Some clubs and club members in our areas are not developing or growing because they do not follow the rules of SAFA. This harms the general growth of the game that should be addressed sooner, rather than later," the chairperson of the Dr Beyers Naude LFA, Hans Plaatjies said.
