GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Employees at the Departments of Health and Education, as well as the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality, the local SASSA offices, the SAPS Training Institution and SANParks enjoyed friendly competition at an Employee Wellness Day on Wednesday, May 17.
The event, which was held at the Umasizakhe Soccer Stadium, saw the employees competing in teams representing the various government departments in the sporting code of soccer in knock-out rounds throughout the day.
The event was held to promote employee wellness and increase employee morale.
The final match of the day was disputed between the team representing the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality and the SANParks team.
SANParks won the match in a penalty shoot-out with a score of 5 goals to 3. The event was sponsored by Liberty Life.
