GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — As a warm-up for the cricket season to come, Graaff-Reinet Cricket Club (GRCC) challenged Union High School's first cricket team to a Pro 20 match on Friday evening, November 11, at the Botanics Sports Grounds.
GRCC won the toss and elected to bat first. They batted well, but Union restricted them to 123 runs in 20 overs.
Union's Sine Ndudula was the best bowler by taking three wickets.
Union's batting was good and they passed the total with only 6 wickets down. A great partnership was formed between Luke McNaughton and Bowen Langmead, who scored 64 runs in 6 overs to win the game for Union.
Luke McNaughton scored 45 not out, Matt Harpur 36 and Bowen Langmead 29 not out. Union won the match by 4 wickets.
