Camdeboo Athletic Club receives sponsorship

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Camdeboo Athletic club recently received a sponsorship from the National Lottery Funding and acquired training equipment and athletic apparel such as tracksuits, shirts for the staff, warm-up shirts, running vests and buffs and caps.

The club specialise in track and cross country events, but due to a lack of facilities and equipment, they struggle with field events.

According to Alsando Davids they have a high success rate provincially with Eastern Province Athletic (EPA) and compete annually on big stages at ASA (Athletics South Africa) events during the year.

The club has 40 members who train from Monday to Thursday from 17:00 to 19:00. Membership is R350 per year, excluding a license fee of either R90 for members 18 years and younger and R160 for 19 years and over.
