NATIONAL NEWS - The African National Congress (ANC)’s national executive committee (NEC) is meeting on Tuesday to put the final touches on the party’s policy conference that starts on Friday.
Delegates will be meeting at Nasrec in a gathering that could become a test of strength between the supporters of President Jacob Zuma and Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The ANC says that today’s NEC meeting only has one item on the agenda and that that is the policy conference.
But policy issues could also be used as a proxy for the leadership contest with supporters of Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Ramaphosa using different policy ideas to show who they support.
