NATIONAL NEWS - Enjoy a tractor tour of Calitzdorp's south side and discover what some of the town's most important farming activities are about - with the option to have lunch at the Krans Bistro afterwards. Calitzdorp Museum Association plans an adventurous and informative morning for Saturday 4 March.
They will visit local farmers Josie Nel, who won the Vineyard Block Competition in 2016, Louis Le Grange, who will give the low-down on his booming pomegranate business and Boets Nel at De Krans Winery, a who will talk about the world of port production. A formal sit-down port tasting will be presented - please book. The tour will end around 12:15.

The group will meet at 09:00 outside the Klein Karoo Agri (the Co-op) on the road to Vanwyksdorp. From there they will tour the countryside on the Calitzdorp choo-choo (i.e Klokkie's tractor and covered carriages). Departure: 09:15. Tickets: R50 p/p for Friends of the Museum and R60 for non-members - to be paid when they meet.
Calitzdorp Museum Association is a voluntary group that raises money through various activities in order to keep Calitzdorp Museum open for the public.
